I am experienced at teaching and preparing students for 7+, 10+ and 11+ exams (including Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning). I prepare students for grammar schools, The Wandsworth Test and independent school exams. I also teach English from KS1 to GCSE and I help students prep for Oxbridge applications and interviews. As an Oxford graduate who has been through it all, it’s particularly helpful to be able to share from my own experiences.
My former students have gained places at the most prestigious establishments in the UK, including Eton, Harrow, Westminster, Wycombe Abbey, Oxford and Cambridge, but, I find joy in supporting students at all levels. I also have experience working with children who have autism and ADHD too.
Alongside tutoring, I am an actor and have worked with the National Theatre and Criterion Theatre amongst other venues. I always aim to infuse my classes with creativity to make them as engaging and enjoyable for the students as possible. My background in acting also means I am particularly equipped to help students with public speaking, debate and interview technique.
My tutoring style is supportive, and tailored to each learner’s needs, whether we’re strengthening core skills or building confidence. I always bring a real specificity in my approach to teaching and I look forward to getting to know each child on an individual level, supporting and empowering them on their learning journey.
