I am a very experienced maths teacher having taught the full age and ability range from 11 to 18 including Further Maths A level and the International Baccalaureate.
I have taught maths online since 2020 and have had success with students at KS3, KS4 and KS5.
I am passionate about teaching and develop good relationships with students enabling them to engage well with maths and develop proper mathematical understanding. Tutoring is a different learning experience to being in a classroom and offers the learner the opportunity to address areas that perhaps were misunderstood in class or were missed. I am happy to direct lessons, but the learner is also welcome to set the agenda that they want to persue.
I have been successful working with students aiming to achieve top grades and GCSE and A level and students who find maths a challenge and need some extra support. At KS3 I have successfully supported students preparing for 13+ exams and international students who want access to the English maths curriculum.
I have worked extensively with students with special educational needs such as ADHD and autism and create a comfortable learning environment for students with a wide range of learning styles.
I very much enjoy teaching maths at all levels and find many aspects of the subject fascinating and beautiful!
