I teach 7+ and 11+ English, Maths and reasoning; I also teach 13+, GCSE & A Level English Language and Literature, A Level Politics and A Level Drama. I also help with any assistance needed for speaking and listening exams, or those who wish to improve their communication skills- this includes helping students to prepare for interviews for school assessments and for drama scholarships.
I am one of Hyde Tutoring’s specialist reasoning tutors. I have taught the 10+/11+ reasoning courses and I work one-to-one with many of the students preparing for their reasoning exams. I find reasoning fascinating; I aim to pass on this enthusiasm to my students and, by doing so, show them that reasoning really isn’t as hard as many of them initially think!
I have tutoring experience in English up to GCSE Level, and a CPD certificate teaching public speaking, communication skills, and LAMDA Examinations.
For a student to grow academically, confidence in their own capabilities is vital. This is why I’m passionate about tutoring. If you provide a student a platform to become assured in their talents, interests and goals, accompanied with hard work, they can thrive academically, as well as find enjoyment in learning. It is easy to feel lost, confused, or even held back whilst at school. Therefore, as a tutor, I firmly believe in listening to the student’s needs, and building personalised lesson plans according to what they may be struggling with. As a former drama student, I also believe in creativity, and try to create a fun learning environment for the student to enjoy themselves.
