“When a child learns without joy, they forget without grief.”
Hello! I’m Faheemah, a tutor with a heart full of curiosity and a quiver full of pencils (and yes, occasionally arrows — I’m also an archery enthusiast). With a background as varied as the students I teach, I bring energy, empathy, and a deep love for learning to every lesson.and my mission is to make sure learning is never forgettable. As a passionate, multi-disciplinary tutor, I specialise in Maths at all levels (from “I hate algebra” to “I dream in equations”), Science (Physics and Chemistry up to A Level and Biology to GCSE), RS/Philosophy, and History to degree level, I have a special flair for preparing students for 10+, 11+, and 13+ entrance exams (covering English, maths and reasoning). Whether it’s decoding poetry, balancing chemical equations, or understanding moral relativism, I aim to ignite joy and curiosity in every subject.
My teaching journey has taken me from traditional tutoring and immersive holiday revision bootcamps, to full-time homeschooling for actors, athletes, and extraordinary young people navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, and trauma. My approach is always gentle, student-focused, and rooted in the belief that learning should feel empowering — not pressurised.
With CELTA certification, I also teach English as an Additional Language, welcoming students from all language backgrounds and tailoring lessons with sensitivity and creativity. I’m nearly fluent in Arabic (next up: Latin and Spanish!) and passionate about how language bridges disciplines, ideas, and people.
Outside the classroom, I’m often found at the archery range, dancing in the kitchen, or curled up with a book and a very serious cup of tea. I’m also an enthusiastic writer of stories, always chasing the next idea, metaphor, or half-rhymed sentence.
Whether your child is building confidence, aiming for top schools, or just trying to find their own rhythm, my role is to meet students where they are — and walk beside them with kindness, humour, and a steady hand as they grow into who they’re meant to be.
