I am a warm and friendly tutor, specialising in English from KS2 through to GCSE and A-level, helping students develop strong reading, writing, and analytical skills. I also support students preparing for 11+ exams (including Verbal Reasoning) and Oxbridge applications and interviews. Having studied at Oxford University myself, I can offer insights into competitive academic pathways, and I have been proud to help students gain places at many of the UK’s most selective schools and universities.
I believe that learning and exam preparation is most effective when students are equipped with strategies to think clearly, structure their ideas, and approach challenges with confidence, seeing examinations as an opportunity to showcase their skills. I aim to act as both a tutor and a mentor in this regard, encouraging students to ask questions, explore ideas, and take ownership of their learning whilst being supported along the way.
I am comfortable teaching across a range of levels, and my lessons are always tailored to each student’s strengths and needs so that every session feels purposeful and personalised. My approach combines guidance, practice, and feedback to make learning engaging, rewarding, and enjoyable.
