Daniel

I teach: English from KS2 to A-Level; English, maths and reasoning for 11+ examinations; 13+ examinations (with a focus on English and reasoning); French to GCSE,; Drama from KS2 to A-Level,; Sociology at GCSE and A-Level, Politics at GCSE and A Level. I mainly focus on tuition to prepare students for exams. I also teach English as a foreign language to students.

I am an approachable and rigorous tutor. I have been tutoring for 6 years, working with students from ages five to eighteen. I work with students on entrance examinations, including private school scholarship papers. I also teach many GCSE and A Level students English Literature, English Language, Sociology and Politics. I am a native French speaker, and can help students to develop their confidence in the language. I can also support students transitioning from the French to English schooling system and vice versa. Lastly I teach EAL. I’ve mainly been working with students in China teaching English as foreign language and teaching English to French pupils.. I’m familiar with the Cambridge EAL tests.

My teaching helps students understand the underlying logic of the subjects and exams they are studying, so that they can fully meet examiners’ demands. I aim to make my sessions fun and approachable – encouraging students to develop their self-esteem in academic learning.

Many of my students have had additional learning needs, including ADHD, dyslexia and ASD. I help them to achieve their best, and to understand how they can adapt their study to best suit their skillset.
