Cynthia

I have taught for over 30 years in South East London. My area of expertise is English, where I have specialised in supporting children with SEN, teaching literacy and phonological awareness. I teach English from Key Stage 1 to GCSE. I also teach Science and Maths up to the end of Key Stage 3. I have experience of working with children and young people with a variety of SEND, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and dyslexia. Most recently I have taught in a specialist school for children with ASD, as a class teacher teaching all subjects.

I am passionate about teaching; I love to see everyone I teach develop to their full potential. As a tutor is it possible to understand an individual’s strengths and weakness and teach to their strengths, thus enabling each child to find strategies to overcome difficulties. I love to watch children master new skills and therefore succeed. I enjoy creating a relaxed, safe and fun environment in which they can learn and grow.
