I am a full time primary school tutor. I am also a mother to two young children. For Hyde Tutoring I specialise in entrance exams, from 7+ to 11+, for independent schools in London. Recently I prepared a 7+ student for St Paul’s Juniors, he did brilliantly in his exams and he is now thriving at St Paul’s.
For nearly 15 years I have worked as a primary school teacher. I have worked at “outstanding” graded schools. I have taught year 1 to years 6. Within my role, I also prepared students for 11+ entry to local grammar schools.
I also have experience teaching English as a foreign language. I have predominately taught students based in China, working with students from 5 years old upwards. My lessons are interactive and fun and, for younger students, I use phonics at the heart to embed the English language. Resources will be translated to begin with, to ensure my students can access everything.
For Hyde Tutoring I teach fully online. So I am experienced in making lessons interactive and engaging, to maintain a student’s interest and to get the maximum out of them.
