MA in SEND and Inclusive Education from the University of Roehampton

I am an experienced English teacher with over 15 years in education, specialising in English language and Literature. I began my teaching career at a mainstream secondary school, where I taught across Key Stages 3–5, including GCSE English Language and Literature and A’Level English Literature. I have also taught English as a Foreign Language in the UK, Spain, and Japan, which gave me valuable expertise in working with multilingual learners and the grammatical constructs of the English language.

I have since held a range of senior leadership roles, including Head of School and Assistant Head, where I developed expertise in behaviour, pastoral care, and inclusive education. Currently, I teach at a specialist SEMH provision, which involves tailoring lessons to individual student needs and supporting learners with a wide range of abilities, including those with additional needs.

I am passionate about making English accessible, engaging, and empowering for all learners.

I am able to tutor students from key stage 2 through to A Level English. I can help children to prepare for the English component of the 10+, 11+ and 13+ exams and I can also work with children who are preparing to take their GCSE or A Level English exams.
