Wayne Rogers

I hold a degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Education, with a research focus on dyslexia and bilingualism. My work has included exploring effective strategies to support students in these areas. In addition to psychology, I also provide support in KS2 maths and science, including preparation for 10+/11+ exams.

With experience teaching in a range of international and UK settings, both state and independent. I am currently the Head of Psychology at a UK boarding school.

As a highly qualified and experienced educator, I take a holistic approach to student support. I’m passionate about my subject and committed to creating engaging, interactive lessons that inspire and challenge learners.

My teaching style incorporates creativity and innovation. I regularly use tools such as virtual reality, role-play, and even Play-Doh to bring abstract concepts to life. I also integrate thinking tools and moments of reflection that encourage students to connect their learning to real-world experiences. This practical approach helps to contextualise complex topics and deepen understanding.

In addition to developing subject knowledge, I place a strong emphasis on helping students understand what is required for success in their exams. I focus on exam techniques, question styles, and how to approach different types of assessments with confidence.

Above all, I am dedicated to meeting the individual needs of my students. Each lesson is carefully tailored to support their growth while encouraging them to reach their full potential.

I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
