I am a German native speaker from Berlin, specialising in German across a wide range of levels, as well as English as a foreign language and more advanced German literature. With several years of tutoring experience, including working with students with learning difficulties, anxiety and concentration challenges, I provide tailored support to suit each student’s individual needs. I am comfortable working with students at different stages of their language learning, from building strong foundations to developing more advanced written and conversational skills.
In my experience, students learn best when they are given the tools and guidance to structure their thinking, work through challenges and find their own solutions. My aim is to encourage students to be curious, ask questions, explore ideas and pursue their own interests. I am particularly passionate about helping students express themselves, both in writing and conversation and to help them discover the joy of understanding and speaking a new language, while developing the skills to approach exams as an opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned. Ultimately, I hope to foster a lasting appreciation for languages and the many ways they allow us to express ourselves.
Alongside tutoring, I work as a writer, editor and research assistant.
