I am a highly experienced and qualified teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience in both the independent and state sectors, alongside more than 12 years of private tutoring. My creative academic background, combined with extensive classroom expertise, enables me to deliver engaging, structured, and highly effective lessons tailored to each individual learner.
I have taught students ages 5–16 across Key Stages 1–4, delivering a broad curriculum including English Language and Literature, History, Geography, Reasoning, and specialist Art & Design Technology. I have held leadership positions, including Head of Art & Design Technology, where I led subject provision with creativity, clarity, and academic rigour.
My teaching approach combines imagination with clear structure and high expectations. I am particularly well suited to English and Verbal Reasoning preparation for 10+, 11+, and 13+ entrance examinations, as well as English, Maths, and Reasoning support for younger learners (7+, 8+, and 9+). I also provide targeted support for KS2–KS4 pupils, including those with SEND or those who benefit from confidence-building, structured guidance, and personalised academic strategies.
I have successfully supported many pupils in securing places at selective independent schools through tailored entrance examination preparation, interview coaching, and bespoke Art scholarship portfolio development.
My calm, approachable manner helps students feel at ease, while my creative teaching style fosters confidence, independence, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. I use interactive digital tools and carefully designed resources to ensure sessions are dynamic, purposeful, and impactful.
